The FTP160 Electric Press Actuator is based on planetary roller screw technology and come with continuous force ratings to 200 kN. The unit features stroke lengths from 150 mm to 900 mm. The device is offered with rigid circular front mounting flange. The high capacity planetary roller screws increase life and provide higher shock load resistance. It is offered in idler pulley design that reduces motor installation and belt tensioning.
Curtiss-Wright’s Sensors & Controls Division today announced the release of its newest Exlar brand electric press actuator, the FTP160. The FTP160 is the second frame size of the high-force electric rod-style press actuators and is designed exclusively for press applications. The Exlar FTP Series actuators allow machine builders to meet ever-increasing performance demands, while minimizing maintenance and downtime.
Based on planetary roller screw technology, the FTP Series offers very high force in a very small package. Curtiss-Wright Corporation is a global innovative company that delivers highly engineered, critical function products and services to the commercial, industrial, defense and energy markets.
